UK ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLE LEADER MAEVING MAKES DEBUT AT ELECTRIFY EXPO

Electrify Expo (San Francisco), Stall #220, Aug 23-24

San Francisco, August 22, 2025: Amidst the spotlight on electric cars and disruptor brands, a quiet revolution is happening on two wheels. Meet Maeving, a British electric motorcycle brand proving clean transport can combine stylish design and heritage engineering, rejecting the notion that electric mobility is the realm of futuristic and styleless machines. Drawing on the rich heritage of British motorcycle design and a resolute dedication to quality and innovation, Maeving is creating beautiful electric motorcycles that redefine urban travel.

A Maeving motorcycle is a unique marriage between classic British engineering and the finest advancements in electric innovation. Riders can either remove the batteries and plug them into a regular socket or charge directly on the bike via onboard charging or a Type 2 adapter, making it easy to top up at public stations or at home. Since launching in CA in December 2023 and expanding to the rest of the US in September 2024, this is the first time Maeving has attended a large-scale industry event. The team are excited to be introducing their two industry-leading and multi-award-winning models to the US market at this event:

MAEVING RM1
A lightweight, fully electric motorcycle, the RM1 was the UK’s best-selling motorcycle in its first year. Blending retro styling with modern function, the RM1 is the ideal bike for new riders - no oil changes, no clutch to master, and no gas station pit stops. This bike is perfect for the urban commuter, café hopper, and anyone wanting a stylish way to disconnect, even if only for a few miles.

SPECS:

  • Speed: 45mph
  • Range: up to 40 miles (single battery), up to 80 miles (dual battery)
  • Weight: 244 lbs
  • Warranty: 2 years
  • License: M1
  • Price: from $6,495 USD

MAEVING RM1S
Having been recently voted “Best Electric Motorcycle” for 2025 by MCN, the UK’s most reputable voice in the motorcycling world, the RM1S is designed for mixed urban riding. It is an evolution of the original RM1, keeping the vintage-inspired frame but with boosted performance. The result is a powerful electric motorcycle that is easy to handle and maneuver. This bike isn’t trying to compete with the roar of a combustion engine or a larger touring bike - it’s something smarter. A no fuss, no fumes, lightweight machine for those who want to enjoy the open road as well as zip through their neighborhood. The faux gas tank is perfect for storing your everyday essentials, and with two 2.72 kWh batteries housed in the bottom compartment, the low centre of gravity provides a seamless riding experience.

SPECS:

  • Speed: 70 mph
  • Range: up to 80 miles
  • Weight: 311 lbs
  • Warranty: 2 years
  • License: M1
  • Price: from $ 9,995 USD

INDUSTRY AWARDS:

As part of its push into the United States, Maeving wants to encourage new riders to learn to ride with confidence. Many US states allow motorcycle license applicants to waive their motorcycle licensing test by completing a state-approved motorcycle safety course, so Maeving has introduced a New Rider Program to make this easier for new customers. Maeving will be at the San Francisco Electrify Expo, August 23-24, at stall #220 and encourages press and consumers to introduce themselves and to learn more about the British motorcycle brand redefining two-wheeled electric transport.
